BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band that officially debuted in 2013 with the concept music combination of pop and hip hop genre. The group consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. BTS has become one of the most popular and influential K-pop groups, with a massive fanbase known as the “ARMY.”

Pre-debut – BTS was formed in 2010, with RM being the first member to join and the company’s co-producer. The group was supposed to be a hip-hop group at first, but the concept was later changed to an idol group. Bang Si-hyuk (CEO of BigHit Entertainment) determined that today’s youth required “a hero who can lend them a shoulder to lean on, even without saying a single word,” and BTS was that hero. The lineup was finalized in 2012 with all seven members, and in the six months leading up to their official debut in 2013, BTS posted pre-debut songs and logs on YouTube and Soundcloud. That is the beginning of the BTS.

Nowadays, the K-pop industry has evolved into a global phenomenon that influences people’s lifestyles and acts as a soft power, influencing both culture and the economy.

One of K-pop’s most notable effects has been the globalization of Korean culture. It represents Korean culture, including language, food, and fashion, and it contributes to the globalization of K-culture. It is an important cultural diplomacy tool that the Korean government values and supports because it attracts a large number of people interested in learning about Korean culture.

K-pop has also had a positive impact on the music industry, with its unique blend of catchy music, elaborate performances, and visually stunning music videos setting a new standard for pop music. K-pop artists have been recognized and inspired for their dedication, hard work, and innovative approach to music and performance, inspiring a new generation of artists and fans worldwide to put their all into their works.

From that point forward, the K-pop industry is one of the most influential economic factors that play an important role in cosmetics, clothes, fashion, food, and all types of products.

According to the research in 2019, BTS was generating an approximated 3.9 billion dollars a year in economic value per year and 0.3% percent of the country’s total GDP and attracted 7% of the tourists that came to Korea. Which can be called the “ BTS effect”.

More importantly, K-pop has also been a representative – raising awareness of social issues such as mental health, self-expression, self-love, and social commentary. The majority of K-pop artists use their music as a deliverer of the message that they want to deliver to the world aiming to promote society’s problems and inspire people to make the world a better place with a positive vibe.

Regardless of their dedication to their work and performance, production, and market strategy, what has made them really successful is that they all have a great mindset and heart that they put and express into their work that can be touched by people, and I believe that BTS is really worth with the word IDOL because for me IDOL is not only a visual, singer, and dancer but they are the people that can be a role module that inspires people passion how to live with a great mindset. being one of the reasons I adore BTS and created this blog post.

“Effort makes you. You will regret someday if you don’t do your best now. Don’t think it’s too late but keep working on it. It takes time, but there’s nothing that gets worse due to practicing. So practice. You may get depressed, but it’s evidence that you are doing good.”
